Luxury travel management: Whenever, however, wherever, every time

Matt Rains, Winged Boots sales manager, recently moved a holiday by 48-hours after car trouble made a family miss their flight. “It was around 9pm and I received a phone call from one of my customers extremely distressed as his car had broken down. He was on his way to the airport to attend what he described as the last holiday with his teenage children as they were growing up and ready to leave the nest. It was a really special trip, and he was devastated that they would miss it.

I called Emirates that evening and managed to rebook them all onto another flight departing two-days later, then moved his hotel stay so they could still enjoy their last family holiday… just a little later than planned.”

Charley Curwood, Winged Boots’ personal travel executive recently booked one family’s first ever holiday and helped to ease their airport anxieties. “A lovely lady enquired about a package holiday for herself and her four children. She had never been out the country before, so I helped find the perfect destination for her family and then explained airport processes such as check-in, security and finding her gate. She was very nervous as this was all new to her.

It was extremely rewarding calling her after her trip and hearing that they had a wonderful time… they’re hoping to return again next year."

Winged Boots personal travel manager, Michelle Martin organised a 2022 destination wedding however the happy couple almost never made it out of the UK. “I booked a destination wedding in Santorini, Greece. I spoke to the couple for 12 months, making sure all the plans went without a hitch for them and their 27 guests. However, two weeks before departure, the bride realised she had lost both hers and her husband-to-be's passports and wouldn't be able to get new ones in time.

I sat refreshing the emergency passport appointment page every five minutes for 48-hours and finally managed to get them both a slot at seperate passport offices around the country. The new passports arrived days before departure."

With more than 11-years’ experience booking luxury travel, Dean Jeffries, Winged Boots personal travel manager helped plan a romantic proposal and whopping 25-night holiday spanning multiple destinations for a premier league footballer. “I really enjoyed being a part of such a special moment for this couple. The trip began with a flight to Santorini, where I worked with the hotel to organise for the room to have rose petals, flowers and champagne on the balcony at sunset ready for him to propose. I also booked a photographer to arrive to capture the exact moment he got down on one knee.

It was a tight turnaround; we had everything organised within a few hours of the couple checking-in on their first night.

A few days later, private helicopter transfers took them both to Mykonos. The pair then enjoyed a week in Barbados, staying at the iconic Sandy Lane before returning back to the UK, only to fly out to Ibiza that same afternoon. After seven-nights in Ibiza they then enjoyed sunny Marbella for a further week before returning home ready to start thinking about their wedding. What a trip!”
