Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge offers accommodation in the form of luxurious safari tents that are a cut above your average glamping experience. The 25 canvas tents line the banks of the Clayoquot Sound or reside among the rainforest trees. Inside, the décor is modern with rustic yet refined luxury. Specially commissioned furniture pieces by local artisans make each one a welcoming home.
Nestled among the trees, the Rainforest Deluxe is a spacious safari tent with a king bed and bathroom just steps outside. This canvas canopy benefits from an open plan lounge with a cast-iron stove to keep you toasty. Outside, a veranda with seating area invites you to enjoy the fresh air.

The Waterfront Ensuites are located on banks of the estuary with direct views to the water. Inside, there’s a king bed, open plan lounge and sofa bed. The ensuite bathroom inside the tent features underfloor heating and a private outdoor cedar-clad shower.

The perfect retreat for families or friends, Hillside Family is made up of two adjoining tents located on the hillside under a canopy of trees. The master bedroom has a king bed and lounge area with a double sofa bed. Leading from both rooms are ensuite bathrooms with a bathtub and shower.

Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is as remote as you can go. Accessible only by seaplane or ferry, it’s deep in the British Columbian wilderness, but you won’t be bored. You’re surrounded by rainforest-clad mountains, glacier-fed fjords and a whole chorus of wildlife. The lodge sits on the estuary of the Clayoquot Sound in the wider UNESCO-designated Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Reserve. The closest town is Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
