Set on 800 metres of powdery soft sand and wrapped in a bow of jungle greenery, its location is truly breathtaking. The seaside town of Tangalle is nearby and remains resolutely low-key compared to the resorts further west. What gives the area its appeal is the number of attractions in the surrounding countryside, including the Hoo-maniya blowhole and the giant Buddha.
