With just 24 lodges, suites and villas, Lakaz Chamarel is an intimate eco-focused resort bringing you close to nature. The accommodation features thatched roofs inspired by traditional Mauritian culture. The interiors are rustic, featuring handcrafted decor coupled with sumptuous furnishings.
With space enough for two, this cosy double suite comes in three distinct styles, Feraye, Dibois and Bamboo. Each offers bespoke furnishings made by local artisans with either wrought iron (Feraye), wood (Dibois) or bamboo materials. They also have terraces.

Comprising either a garden or mountain view, the Pool Suite comes in a variety of designs from Suite of La Dame Créole to Reshma Suite showcasing local art and international décor. The suites feature a private pool and open-air shower.

Located at an altitude of 400 metres in the Mauritian hills, Lakaz Chamarel not only offers stunning views but also the perfect location for just about everything. Only an hour’s drive from the airport and a quick 10-to-15-minute coach trip from Mauritius’ best beaches, you’ll find that being in alpine seclusion isn’t as isolated as it sounds. The Chamarel Waterfall and Seven Coloured Earth are 10 minutes away by car while the UNESCO-listed Le Morne Brabant is 20 minutes away.
