For extra seclusion, the hotel Residences offer separate private apartments no more than 50-metres from the hotel.
Perfectly sized for the solo traveller, the Only Me room is bright and airy while still maintaining a welcoming cosiness that makes it a welcome escape from the chilly winter slopes. A completely unique region, Zermatt is one of the world’s only traffic-free zones, meaning no cars or other forms of fume-producing public transport. Electric cars, trains and buses as well as horse-drawn carts and carriages are the rage here. Due to this, reaching the hotel involves flying into one of the nearby airports, Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Milan or Bern then either driving to Täsch and arranging a transfer from there, or catching a train to Gornergrat station which is mere steps away from the hotel’s front doors.
