Champneys
Champneys
Known for creating and delivering indulgent TLC sessions across its collection of spas, wellness is the name of the game at British health spa brand Champneys. Born from an idea by visionary naturopath Stanley Lief in 1925, there are now five spa resorts and hotels in its repertoire: Champneys Tring; Champneys Springs; Champneys Henlow; Champneys Forest Mere and Eastwell Manor, A Champneys Hotel & Spa. What’s more, there are also various city spas in Chichester, Enfield, Tunbridge Wells, Guildford, Milton Keynes and St Albans.
Expert therapists are on hand in all resorts, hotels and spas to deliver treatments that are tailored to each individual while personal trainers and fitness experts will have you working hard with bootcamp packages. As well as Champneys products used throughout the extensive treatment menu, Aromatherapy Associates, Clarins and Elemis spa treatments are also available.
Indulge in exclusivity thanks to signature rituals available such as Champneys Body Radiance. Aiming to remove dead skin cells and relieve muscle tension, this exfoliation and massage will leave you feeling refreshed and revived. Alternatively, why not opt for the 50-minute Diamond Dermabrasion that uses LED light therapy to smooth fine lines and improve skin radiance?
Each of the hotels and resorts have British heritage in abundance, with the restaurants showcasing this to the fullest. The finest produce and seasonal ingredients are used in every single dish, and international influences are added for a flavoursome twist. Healthy meals are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner with nutritionists on hand if you want to embark on a weight loss journey.
Champneys Tring
Champneys Tring was the resort that started it all and is commonly known as its flagship. Situated in West Hertfordshire, just 1-hour and 15-minutes from central London by car, here you can enjoy a fantastic staycation in an English country house. Enjoy a walk through 170-acres of rolling parkland, unwind in one of the 62 treatments rooms or break a sweat in one of the two fitness studios… the choice is yours. There are also two tennis courts where you can share the love while the sauna, steam room, plunge pool and 25-metre swimming pool will fill the hours with plenty of R&R. Bedrooms at Champneys Tring offer plenty of countryside charm merged with modern flourishes. Think floral curtains and mahogany furniture mixed with a bright green headboard and contemporary cushions.
Champneys Forest Mere
The Forest Mere property in Hampshire boasts a phenomenal location. Found in the village of Liphook next to a lake, this secluded resort is ideal if you want to get away and switch off from the world. After a recent refurbishment, the Thermal Poolside Suite is easily one of the best drawing points of this hotel, housing a relaxation area next to the swimming pool which omits a log cabin feel. Heated water beds, a crackling fireplace and cosy fur throws… it’s wonderful for a winter escape or when the temperatures drop. The Deluxe Suites have also seen a complete redesign. Inside you’re greeted with an open-plan living room and double bedroom that leads out to a large balcony accompanied by views of the forest and lake. Add into the mix a white marble bathroom, a lounge and dining area complete with a log burner and you have yourself a magical accommodation choice.
Champneys Springs
31-acres of stunning parkland are yours to explore at Champneys Springs in Leicestershire. A wealth of fitness classes are available to book, a fully-equipped gym is at your disposal and the treatment rooms and spa facilities such as a swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room are waiting to be used. A choice of 87 suites to choose from all come with beautiful views of the grounds and modern interiors, and the on-site restaurant serves healthy British fare to tantalise the taste buds.
Champneys Henlow
Set in the grounds of where a Cistercian monastery once stood, Champneys Henlow in Bedfordshire merges historical décor and modern influences with ease. Kickstart your detox with a visit to the gym before heading to the spa for a well-deserved pamper. The magnificent conservatory is one of the most popular areas of the hotel and for good reason. With unspoilt views of the River Hiz, low slung chandeliers, fresh and vibrant greenery and a contemporary aesthetic, it’s easy to see why. For some alone time, the rooms and suites here are fantastic sanctuaries. Modern in style, you have a wealth of amenities at your fingertips such as a flat screen television, luxurious towels, sumptuous bedding, and more.
Eastwell Manor, A Champneys Resort & Spa
Eastwell Manor, A Champneys Resort & Spa in Kent sees the spa separate from the main hotel. Just a 5-minute drive from Ashford International Station and 1-hour and 45-minutes away by car from London, this hotel boasts great transport links. As well as a 20-metre heated swimming pool, Jacuzzis, steam rooms, saunas and relaxation areas the hotel also boasts a stunning AA Rosette restaurant that’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A classic afternoon tea is also served here which includes fine-cut sandwiches, homemade scones and a range of speciality loose-leaf teas. Accommodation has been converted from original Victorian stables, so you can expect bespoke shaped rooms with a countryside feel. Some also have private terraces with views of the North Downs.
